LARY Buddy Program

The Lawrence Assistance Reaching Youth (LARY) Buddy program matches Lawrence students with Edison Elementary students to support students both in and out of the classroom. These children might have learning disabilities, financial difficulties, or other problems. Students go to recess, eat lunch, go to the park, and otherwise enrich the life of their buddy. Students spend two hours a week with their buddies.

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2011-2012 LARY Buddy program. Please check out the Service and Volunteer Opportunities link on the left for many other ways to volunteer with kids!
