2007-2008 School Year 04.28.08-Celeste Middleton rocked our socks with a Jill Beck action figure bulletin board. Drew Ryan hosted a lovely screening and discussion of a silent German film. The whole Ormsby staff was recognized for their fabulous week of Earth Day events with the much appreciated support from Hannah Sweet, Ursula Al-Kaisse & Cecily Hughes. Also on the resident front, Sylvie Armstrong put a lot of effrot into rescuing a baby bunny. 04.07.08-This week Chelsea Wantland created awesome palm tree themed door decorations, while Paul Feeny countered with door decorations that creatively encouraged residents to burn CDs and share music. Lastly, Kim Stabile, who gallantly took over the vacant Orsmby RLA position, ran a fun program introducing herself to residents. 03.10.08-Stephen Anunson, Chad Bay and Zach Patrick-Riley hosted the well-attended and informative Mingle With Your Major program. Additionally, the Ormsby Staff organized a super fun Winter Carnival replete with old-time favorite games. 03.03.08-Jim Breen and Julia Schnell hosted a very successful discussion on Diversity Issues that was well attended by Posse students who were brought over by Jake Hartmann, our Resident of the Week. 02.26.08-Tamiko Terada hosted a lovely Lunar Eclipse party with a professor. Erin Moore was the Resident of the Week for running an excellent Hall Council Meeting as interim president. 02.19.08-Melanie Heindl, Molly Wilson and Jessie Justmann hosted sex week in Ormsby, which included a discussion on sex and dance instruction. Two Plantz residents, Renee Wnager and Aviva Milner-Brage, took matters into their own hands a cleaned up the messy hall kitchen. 02.12.08-The much anticipated battle of the sexes program, "He Said, She Said," hosted by Kate Cummings and Laura Rosenberg, with special guests Erik Farley and Margo Bertram, provided stimulating discussion topics for many residents. Resident of the Week honors went to Marc Deheeger, who showed great care in assiting a fellow resident in need. 02.05.08-This week the majority of the Hiett staff threw a fantastic and safe Superbowl party. Two residents earned top honors this week as well, as both Mari Tsugawa and Brent Nathan were recognized for outstanding efforts in their halls and hall councils.. 01.28.08-Art Shipley put on a Drunken First Aid clinic that wowed all in attendance. Mark Johnson and Isake Smith were recognized as Super Reisdents of the Week for being active and amazing members of the Lawrence community. 12.03.07-The Sage Staff has worked tirelessly of late to provide much needed support in their hall, and they fully deserved to be recognized for their caring and commitment to their residents. Ben Glover and Stephen Anunson worked really hard to make their ping pong tournament a success, and they deserve to be honored as well. 11.26.07-Caitlin McIntyre was honored for her wonderful Fireside Chat along with the help of Pauly V. Addiitonally, Celeste Middleton & Brendan Cornwell whipped up a Thanksgiving feast fit for a Lawrentian. On the resident front, Michael Solomon was awarded Resident of the Week for lending his jumper cables to anyone in need. 11.19.07-Drew Baumgartner returns to the top spot with his Frank Discussion with RLAs Forum. Eli Grover was honored as a Super Resident for his initiative with the Plantz Hall Floor Reps. 11.12.07-Dan Crouse hosted a stupendous Guy Fawkes Night with V for Vendetta and the Bomb Squad. Elyse Mische was awarded Super Resident Honors for representing Ormsby on the Service Council. 11.05.07-Ryan Olsen and Paul "Tall Paul" Feeny were recognized for their tireless efforts in running the Huindred Holes of Disk Golf. Additionally, Kelly Schroer was voted in as a Super Resident and community builder for Sage. 10.30.07- Aneesh Chauhan and Jessie Justman talked about Tanzania and dished out pierogies, while Drew Baumgartner and his zombie army hosted an eventful Zombie Weekend. Karl Halipern was recognized as a superb Trever resident. 10.22.07- Laura Rosenberg won top honors for her superb program mixing mocktails and alchol education. Tommy Johnsen was honored as a superb presence in Trever. 10.15.07- Nick Anderson and Celeste Middleton taught residents all they needed to know about sex during "Sex at the Desk," and that helped them score (wink wink) the top spot for this week. 10.08.07- Megan Allen helped residents explore the Farmer's Market and then cooked a delicous meal with them. Hannah Sweet and Ellen Webb were honored as Super Residents this week for baking many birthday cupcakes in Ormsby. 10.01.07- Stefany Sit and Lara Wasserman made Puppy Chow for upperclassmen, and Katie Peacock cooked up some Magic Pancakes for residents.
