in Hall Council?
All hall members are encouraged to become involved in Hall Council. There are two ways of being involved: you can run for an elected leadership position or become general floor representatives.
Candidates interested in holding leadership positions must write a statement and campaign within the hall. The following positions are then elected by each hall's residents at the beginning of every academic school year.

· Convenes and presides at every hall council meeting
· Is familiar with the responsibilities of the other officers and committees
· Keeps advisors informed of problems, concerns, and activities
· Delegates responsibilities to other members and follows up on the tasks that are assigned
· Makes sure all hall concerns are given ample time to be heard
· Presides over meetings in the absence of the president
· Is familiar with the responsibilities of the other officers
· Aids in setting the meeting agendas
· May assume other various council leadership positions (i.e. committee chair, social chair, fundraising chair, etc.)
· Maintains good communication with the advisors and the other council members
· Records attendance and minutes at all hall council meetings
· Distributes meeting minutes to advisors and all members of the council
· Posts the minutes in the hall so that all residents are informed of the council’s decisions and activities
· Keeps accurate records of the council’s activities
· Compiles and distributes contact list of council members
· Maintains good communication with the advisors and other council members
· Responsible for tracking hall finances
· Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of the hall accounts
· Keep accurate records of council fundraising activities and proceeds distribution
· Maintains good communication with the advisors and other council members
· The “voice” of hall to LUCC
· Bring the ideas and/or concerns of their constituents to the attention of LUCC
· Keep their hall informed of all activities and issues of LUCC
· Solicit feedback from constituents or representative body (Hall Council)
· Post LUCC meeting minutes in visible location for access by all residents of hall
· Maintains good communication with the advisors and other council members
· Attends all-campus Wellness Committee Meetings
· Represents hall interests in Wellness programming initiatives
· Coordinates any intramural participation
· Encourages hall members to participate in Wellness activities and programs
· The “voice” of their floor or house or wing
· Bring the ideas and/or concerns of their constituents to the attention of the council
· Keep their respective areas informed of hall activities and issues
· Encourage floor members to participate in hall activities
· Represent the interests of their constituents at hall council meetings
· Maintains good communication with the advisors and other council members
