During the month of March, we take time to recognize the contributions women have made throughout history. The first International Women's Day was held on March 8, 1911. This was later expanded in 1978 to Women's History Week, and finally in 1981 to Women's History Month. Women's History Month reminds us what a great impact women have had on our country and its history.
