During the month of June, we recognize the impact Gay, Lesbian and Transgender individuals have had on the world. It is meant to be a month of acceptance of diversity regardless of sexual orientation. There are also memorials for those who have died from HIV and AIDS. The gay and lesbian community uses June to educate the public regarding the gay movement and the many social challenges the gay and lesbian community face in everyday life.
