Family Care Providers

There are five family care providers who come to the Landis Health Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.. Dr. Charles McKee is the health center’s Medical Director, and is from Primary Care Associates Clinic along with Dr. Stephen Fuller and Dr. Aaron Douglas. Dr. Dave Anderla and Dr. Kelli Heindel are associated with Theda Care Physicians. No appointment is needed. The students are seen on a first come, first served basis. There is no money exchanged at the Health Center. The cost for the doctor appointment is $8.00. There may be additional fees if the doctor orders any labs or medication. This cost will be applied to your student account. An itemized receipt will be given upon request. Strep tests, pregnancy tests and urine dipstick tests are done at the health center. All other labs are sent to the physicians’ laboratory and can be covered by insurance or private pay. These expenses will not be placed on the student’s account. You will receive a bill from the clinic with the name of the test(s) and the cost.

Gynecological Appointments

Dr. Janine Buffo, Board Certified Family Physician from Theda Care of Menasha, comes to the Landis Health Center one or two Tuesdays a month when classes are in session. She has two appointment times (9 & 9:30 a.m.). The cost of the exam is $75.00 (with an additional $120.00 to $500.00 for lab specimens depending on what tests are to be done). Please check your insurance coverage prior to making an appointment, and bring a copy of your insurance to the appointment.. Dr. Buffo appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis. Transportation

Campus Security will assist (when they are able) with off campus emergency doctor and dentist appointments. Campus Security will not leave campus between the hours of 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m.. Check with the residence life personnel in your hall or house for the bus schedules or Appleton taxi services; or ask a friend with a vehicle before asking for assistance from Security. You MUST notify the nurse of your need for transportation at least 24 hours in advance of the apppointment, with a Friday notification if the appointment is on Monday.
