Lawrence Students often have the opportunity to go to Björklunden for classes or for student organizations. In the past, the peer educators have taken trips to Björklunden as part of the peer education class and practicum. The weekend at Björklunden for Peer Education is a time of relaxation and fun, but also a unique opportunity for class. The Björklunden weekends have included presentations done by the Health Center, other outside guest speakers, and student presentations. Björklunden was also the starting point of Kaleidoscope, which was written during one of the practicum weekends at Björklunden. Other practicum opportunities include coordinating and participating in National Sexual Assault Awareness Week activities on campus.
