The Career Center is committed to making quality resources available to all of its patrons. In order to do so, it is important that all resources be available to all patrons during regular office hours.

Eligibility
At this time, current students, faculty and staff of Lawrence University may borrow resources. Alumni, however, are welcome to use resources in the Resource Room.

Loan Duration: Academic Year
Resources may be borrowed only over the weekend - from Friday afternoon to the following Monday morning.

Loan Duration: Summer Months and Breaks
During the summer months, reading periods, term breaks and finals, resources may be borrowed for extended periods of time. Availability and popularity of a resource may impact loan duration. See a Career Center staff person for assistance.

Circulating Resources
Most resources may be borrowed from the Resource Room, including occupation titles, graduate school exam preparation guides, some directories, some graduate school guides, resume preparation and interviewing strategy guides.

Non-Circulating Resources
Some resources must remain in the Resource Room; these include most directories, graduate school guides, and internship directories. Typically, only one or two pages of these resources are needed by any individual patron; therefore, patrons are encouraged to either use the resource on-site or photocopy the needed pages.

Check-Out
Once you have selected the resources you would like to borrow, complete a Resource Check-Out Slip, available from the Career Information Specialist or the Secretary. If you cannot find a particular resource, or require assistance identifying titles on a particular topic, please ask a Career Center staff person.

Overdue Resources
Occasionally, resources may be needed for a period longer than a weekend. Contact the Career Center to find out if it is possible to extend your loan. However, if during an extension, another student requests the resource, it must be returned immediately.
To avoid charges, please return all borrowed materials to the Career Center by the due date. Your student account will be charged the replacement cost for each unreturned item. In addition, Financial Services will add a $25 service fee.

Reminders
Reminder notices are sent as a courtesy. All borrowers are responsible for overdue or lost resources even if notices are not received.
