To develop a confident interview style, you may wish to practice in a "risk-free" atmosphere. A practice interview in the Career Center serves to help you recognize areas in which you excel as well as areas of improvement that would enhance your interview style.
At your request, your practice interview will be videotaped. After a 10-15 minute interview, you and your interviewer (a Career Center staff member) will review the tape and discuss your performance. You will receive feedback after your interview with notes on potential strategies for improvement. The entire appointment typically lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Please inform the secretary of your career interests when scheduling your practice interview, and bring a résumé to the appointment. It is advisable to dress as you would for an actual interview. Promptness is important, as it is in any interview situation. You are welcome to bring your own videotape if you would like to keep a copy of your interview.
