The Lawrence University Greek System enjoys a long tradition of significant and ongoing philanthropic and community service. All members are encouraged to participate in service projects coordinated by their chapters. Most chapters have established long-term relationships with community organizations and agencies. Such relationships foster a greater appreciation for and understanding of the needs of others and over time can make a significant difference in the lives of people within the community. In addition, each chapter participates in one or more philanthropic efforts organized among the chapters of its affiliate organization nationally.

ALS Walk - supported with organization and volunteer effort locally by Phi Delta Theta
Anchor Splash - a wacky swimming and diving competition hosted annually by Delta Gamma to raise funds for sight conservation for the blind
Caramel Apples at Homecoming - tastefully decorated caramel apples are created each year by Kappa Kappa Gamma to raise funds for the Reading is FUNdamental Program
Greek Week Concert - hosted by Phi Delta Theta to rais funds for ALS
Housing Partnership - construction and renovation projects undertken by Beta Theta Pi with the local organization that turns underutilized housing stock into affordable housing for families in need
Kicks for CASA - annual soccer kicking competition hosted by Kappa Alpha Theta to raise funds for Court Appointed Special Advocates
Knock Off the Prof - a friendly version of the old College Bowl program pitting Lawrence professors against students sponsored by Phi Kappa Tau to raise funds for the Hole in the Wall Camps
The Perfect Cheer - spirit competition held in the winter by Kappa Alpha Theta to raise funds for CASA
Thanksgiving Dinner - held annually by Beta Theta Pi for residents of local senior citizen facilities brings cheer to some who might otherwise celebrate the holiday alone
