What is quantitative skills tutoring?
Acquiring quantitative skills is important for any well-rounded individual. Quantitative skills include solving symbolic proofs (either logical or mathematical), statistical or graphical analysis of numerical data, problem solving using mathematical methods, and implementation of computer algorithms. Courses using these skills are found in a variety of departments, including computer science, philosophy, mathematics, anthropology, and chemistry, to name a few.
The quantitative lab is available for class and student use. Instructors who would like to reserve the lab should contact the CTL Coordinator, Julie Haurykiewicz, at x7022 or via e-mail.
To request a quantitative skills tutor, please call the CTL at (920) 832-6767 during our hours of operation, fill out the online tutor request form, e-mail ctl@lawrence.edu, or stop by the CTL (139 Briggs) during our regular hours.
