WELCOME
TO THE SPANISH DEPARTMENT
AT LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY, ¡BIENVENIDOS!
Spanish is one the most widely used languages in the world. It is
spoken in all of Latin America (with the exception of Brazil), in
many parts of the United States, and in Spain. In the United States
alone, Spanish is the language of over 30 million people.
Spanish
program at Lawrence allows students to become part of this significant
and extensive community. During the course of their studies,
students have the chance to become acquainted with the history,
the literature, and the arts, of the Spanish-speaking Americas,
and Spain.
Our
web site provides detailed information about the department,
Spanish program at Lawrence, language requirement, study abroad
opportunities, and about numerous extracurricular activities
available to our students.
If
you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. |
