Russian Words and Images

In Russia there are trains that cover short distances and others that cover long distances. Those that cover short distances are colloquially known as “elektrichki,” and are widely used by commuters and people going to their dachas.
They generally contain wooden benches arranged in rows. Those trains that cover long distances contain compartments with four bunks. The compartments on trains are of several different classes, some much more comfortable than others..
