Russian Words and Images

This term for a bedroom is not used as widely in Russia as in the U.S., because it is often the case that rooms are used for multiple purposes. Beds are often made up only at night, out of fold-out sofas. A room that becomes a bedroom at night might function as a family room or study during the day.
