Ehlinger named to All-MWC women's soccer team

APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University women's soccer standout Sarah Ehlinger has been named to the All-Midwest Conference team.

Ehlinger, a freshman forward from Wauwatosa, Wis., was a second-team selection and is Lawrence's lone representative on the squad.

A former standout at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, Ehlinger ranked third in the conference at 1.00 goals per game. She also was third at 2.22 points per game and was second at 5.22 shots per game.

Ehlinger recorded hat tricks against Ripon College and Knox College to become the first player since MWC Player of the Year Megan Tiemann in 1999 to have a pair of three-goal games in the same season.

Ehlinger, who also plays basketball for the Vikings, finished the season with 12 goals and two assists for 26 points. Her 12 goals ties her for 10th on Lawrence's single-season list.

Lawrence finished with a 5-10-1 overall record and a 3-5-1 mark in conference play.
