Mulcahy named to all-conference team for fourth consecutive season

APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University volleyball standout Kelly Mulcahy has been named to the All-Midwest Conference team for a fourth consecutive season.

Mulcahy, a senior from Glendale, Wis., was a first-team selection for the second time. She also earned first-team honors in 2005 and was a second team pick in 2004 and 2006.

The former standout at Nicolet High School was second in the conference at 4.21 kills per game. On the season, she had 349 kills and averaged 4.26 per game. Mulcahy also piled up 3.91 digs per game and had 24 aces and 60 blocks.

Mulcahy, who holds the match record with 29 kills, finished her career as one of the most decorated players in school history. She finished third on the career list with 1,355 kills and second at 3.39 kills per game. Mulcahy also finished fifth with 1,081 career digs.

Lawrence finished the season with a 7-20 record and went 2-7 in league play.
