Lawrence's Reiland named to All-Midwest Conference team

APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University women's basketball standout Caresse Reiland has been named to the All-Midwest Conference first team.

Reiland, a sophomore forward from Wauwatosa, Wis., was Lawrence's lone selection on the all-conference squad.

The former star at Wauwatosa East High School was third in the conference in scoring at 15.2 points per game and second in rebounding at 9.9 per contest. Reiland recorded eight double-doubles on the season, and she had the first triple-double in Lawrence women's basketball history with 16 points, 17 rebounds, and a school-record 10 blocked shots vs. Monmouth College on Feb. 4.

Reiland, who shot 44.3 percent from the floor, finished second in the league at 2.4 blocked shots per game and she ranked first at 7.5 defensive rebounds per contest. Reiland finished the season with a school-record 57 blocked shots.

Lawrence finished the season with a 4-19 record and was 1-15 in league play.
