APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University track and field standout Tatiana Bulat has been named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week.
Bulat, a junior from Madison, Wis., earned the honor after finishing fourth in the indoor pentathlon at the UW-Stevens Point Eastbay Invitational this past Saturday.
The former Madison West High School star finished with 2,167 points and won the shot put portion of the event with a throw of 32 feet. She also jumped 13-7.75 in the long jump and leaped 4-2.5 in the high jump. Bulat ran 10.41 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles and turned in a time of 2:54.96 in the 800 meters.
It was Bulat's first attempt at the indoor pentathlon this season.
Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when it participates in the UW-Oshkosh Invitational.
