Lawrence University Waiving Application Fee July 10-15 During Wisconsin
Independent Colleges Week
APPLETON, WIS. -- Lawrence University will be one of 21 private
colleges in the state participating in "Wisconsin Independent Colleges
Week" July 10-15. Students visiting any of Wisconsin's private colleges
that week will have their application fee waived when they apply for
admission to any of the participating institutions.
During the week, Lawrence will offer guided tours of the campus and
provide opportunities to meet with admissions and financial aid
officers, visit classrooms and residence halls as well as other campus
facilities.
"This is a great opportunity for students and their parents to get
an up-close and personal look at what Lawrence, as well as the other
private colleges in Wisconsin, has to offer and see what distinguishes
us from other higher education choices in the state, such as the UW
system," said Michael Thorp, Lawrence's director of admissions.
"Choosing a college is certainly one of the most important decisions
facing a young person and so to help make that decision be the most
informed one possible, we encourage students to take advantage of visit
opportunities Wisconsin Independent Colleges Weekprovides."
To schedule a campus visit, students can contact the Lawrence
admissions office at 800-227-0982 or 920/832-6500.
