Lawrence University President Joins Executive Committee of National Organization


     APPLETON, WIS. -- Lawrence University President Richard Warch has been
appointed to a two-year term of the executive committee of the Annapolis
Group.    The executive committee is comprised of nine college presidents.
	     Founded in 1991, the Annapolis Group is an association of 110 of
America's leading liberal arts colleges.  Collectively and cooperatively,
the institutions share mutual interests and information designed to
strengthen their respective educational programs. 
     One of the organization's most recent undertakings was a collaboration
with "Daedalus," the Journal of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences,
that examined the role of residential liberal arts colleges in America and
their contributions to American intellectual life.
