     Lawrence University Names Five New Members to Board of Trustees


          APPLETON, WIS. -- Robert Underhill, senior technical executive of
Kimberly-Clark Corporation, and Judith Paul, chairman of the board of
Advantage Learning Systems, Inc., Madison, have been named to the Lawrence
University Board of Trustees.  Both were named to the board as term
trustees.
     Underhill joined Kimberly-Clark in 1978 as manager of feminine care
research and developement. He was elected vice president of nonwovens
research in 1983 and became vice president of research and development in
1985.  He was named senior vice president, research and development in 1993,
with responsibilities for corporate, central and long-range research amd
development activities.  He was appointed to his present position in
January.
     Paul is the co-founder of Advantage Learning Systems, Inc., which
provides K-12 schools with computerized learning information systems,
including software designed to improve academic performance by increasing
the quality, quantity, and timeliness of information in the classroom.
     Catheryn Hoehn, Harry Jansen Kraemer Jr. and Donald Smart have been
elected to four-year terms on the board as alumni trustees.
     Hoehn, a 1964 graduate of Lawrence, is head counselor for the Fullerton
(Calif.) Union School District.  Kraemer, a 1977 graduate, is president and
chief executive officer of Baxter International, Inc., Deerfield, Ill.
Smart, a 1964 graduate, is president and chief executive officer of the
Charing Company, Madison.
