Lawrence University Psychologist Leads Online Discussion on Cognitive
Therapy
APPLETON, WIS. -- Lawrence University Associate Professor of Psychology
Gerald Metalsky will lead a national online discussion on cognitive therapy
of depression on the Internet site WebMD.
The interactive electronic health information service presents, "hink
Positive Thoughts...Think Realistic Thoughts: Cognitive Therapy with Gerald
Metalsky," Tuesday, July 6, at 9 p.m.
A specialist in depression, Metalsky will serve as a guest expert in a
one-hour online "chat" on cognitive therapy, including what it is and how it
is used in the treatment of depression, how it compares to medication
options and its popular misconceptions.
Metalsky, who earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at University of
Wisconsin, has served as a Associate Editor for the Journal of Abnormal
Psychology and has published numerous articles on a variety of
depression-related topics.
