Lawrence University Theatre Department Presents "Little Eva Takes a Trip"

          APPLETON, WI  The Lawrence University Theatre Department will
present "Little Eva Takes a Trip" by Rebecca Gilman, directed by Cheryl
Snodgrass, guest faculty member from Chicago, May 13 - 15 at 8 p.m. and
May 16 at 3 p.m. in Stansbury Theatre in the Music-Drama Center. For

          Little Eva Takes a Trip revolves around the highly dysfunctional
mother/daughter relationship between Eva, the surrogate mother, and
Judith, the foundling.  The play is both episodic and non-linear,
spanning the time from Judithıs infancy to her adulthood.  Together they
travel and have many unusual experiences on the road.  When they part,
their lives have tragic results.

          Rebecca Gilman is a product of the prestigious Iowa Playwrights
Workshop, and is currently working on another show at the Goodman
Theatre.  She has recently won the Jeff Award for her work in Chicago.
