Lawrence University Students Sponsor "Rally for America"

APPLETON, WIS. -- In commemoration of Veteran's Day and the two-month anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., the Lawrence University College Republicans will sponsor a community "Rally for America," Sunday, Nov. 11 from 3-5 p.m. in the amphitheatre of the Wriston Art Center. In the event of inclement weather, the rally will be moved to Riverview Lounge in the adjacent Memorial Union.

The rally will honor veterans and current military personnel serving in Operation Enduring Freedom and will include remarks by Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna Wisconsin State Representatives Steve Wieckert and Terri McCormick of Appleton and 2000 U.S. Senate candidate John Gillispie, among others.
