Lawrence University President Opens College's 154th Year with Address
on "The Campus Business"


     APPLETON, WIS. -- Lawrence University President Richard Warch
addresses the changing face of higher education Thursday, Sept. 28 in
his annual matriculation convocation.  
     Warch officially opens the college's 154th academic year, and his
21st as Lawrence president, with the address, "The Campus Business," at
11:10 a.m. in the Lawrence Memorial Chapel.  The event is free and open
to the public.
     In his annual matriculation convocation, Warch will respond to the
charges that the college campus is becoming an antiquated educational
arrangement and argue for the distinctive purposes of the residential
liberal arts college.
