Disco Inferno: Lawrence University Sponsoring Benefit for Habitat for Humanity
APPLETON, WIS. -- Break out your bell bottoms and polish your platform shoes. Lawrence University is holding a disco benefit ball Saturday, April 7 to support Habitat for Humanity.
The dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight in Lawrence University's Buchanan Kiewit Center and will feature a DJ as well as live music by the seven member Lawrence student funk band The Committee. In addition, there will be a special guest appearance by members of the Lawrence Symphony Orchestra performing disco tunes under the direction of LSO conductor Bridget-Michaele Reischl.
Admission at the door is $6 for adults, $3 for students door with the proceeds benefitting the Fox Valley chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Refreshments will be available and an area Habitat for Humanity homeowner will speak briefly at the event.
