Information Technology Services has several exciting positions available to students. Helpdesk Analyst

HelpDesk Analysts work with the HelpDesk Coordinator to ensure that all questions or problems that come to the HelpDesk via telephone, e-mail, voice mail, and walk-ins are addressed in a timely, accurate, efficient, and friendly manner.  These students spend much of their time on the telephone trouble-shooting software problems and questions.  There is some filing, copying, collating, and data entry.  The hours for this position are structured.

Lab Runner

Lab Runners ensure that the public computer labs are kept in good working order (paper and toner is stocked, paper gets recycled, the lab is kept clean, and machines are connected to the network). The Lab Runner reports any printer or computer problems to the HelpDesk to be helplined. The hours for this position are structured.

Microcomputer Assistant

Microcomputer Assistants work with the Microcomputer Specialists to address any problems with computers that arise on campus. As a Microcomputer Assistant, you will spend much of your time fixing problems on lab, staff and faculty computers and printers. The hours for these positions are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but are flexible and can be arranged with the supervisor.

Summer Microcomputer Assistant

Summer Microcomputer Assistants work with the Microcomputer Specialists to inventory new computer equipment in addition to addressing any problems with new or existing computers on campus. As a Summer Microcomputer Assistant, you will spend much of your time unboxing, tagging and setting up staff and faculty computers and printers. The hours for these positions are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but are flexible and can be arranged with the supervisor.

Student Web Developer

Student Web Developers update and maintain various sections of the Lawrence University website. They work closely with the Web Application Developer and with a number of clients on campus in order to provide web services and support. Student Web Developers also create new web pages and new designs for use within the Lawrence University website.
