Policy Statement
Understanding that the demands of our computer network and the technologies involved are constantly changing, it is understood that it is the responsibility of Information Technology Services to manage our network and adapt as necessary to this ever-changing environment. Directions and decisions about how network management should occur are to be made by Information Technology Services.
Procedures
Information Technology Services has the responsibility to inform the community of changes that are significant and noticeable to the community as a whole. Opinions on significant and noticeable changes will be sought in advance from the Technical Advisory Committee.
There may be times when a change is "significant and noticeable" to an individual or small group of individuals. Such changes do not need to be approved by the Technology Advisory Committee. For the purpose of this policy, "significant and noticeable" are changes that apply to all campus groups or to large sub-groups such as all staff, all faculty or all students.
