Directions for using Expert Settings in iMovie for Exporting web video

• Select File->Export in iMovie
• Select "To QuickTime" next to "Export"
• Select "Expert Settings" next to "Formats"
• Click the Export button
• Name the file and set the location so as to save to the "Temp" folder.
• Click the "Settings" button under the Video category.
• Set the topmost menu to "Sorenson Video"
• Set the Quality to "Best"
• Set the Frames per second to 12; Key frame every 24 frames, Limit data rate to 16.
• Click OK.
• Click the "Size" button under the Video category.
• Select "Use Custom Size" and enter 240 for Width and 180 for Height.
• Click OK.
• Click the "Settings" button under the Sound category.
• Select "QDesign Music 2" next to Compressor.
• Set the Rate to 22.050, the Size to 16 bit, and select Mono.
• Click the "Options" button.
• Set the Bitrate to "48 kbits/s"
• Click OK. Click OK.
• Click "Prepare for Internet Streaming" and select "Fast Start"
• At this point, the window should look as it does to the right.
• Click OK.
