Below is a list of on-campus jobs (including a brief job description) that are typically offered during the summer.

Reunion Weekend Workers
Student Reunion Weekend Workers help with a variety of duties throughout Reunion Weekend, June 18-21, 2009.  They help shuttle alumni around campus, serve meals, work with the Children's Program, desk clerk, and much more!  Student Workers will be trained for and assigned to several different jobs, and work anywhere from 15-35 hours during the weekend. They must be available from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21 at noon.

Lifeguard
Lifeguard position for 30 hours per week, 10:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. A few extra weekend hours possible during special events. Must be Red Cross Lifeguard Certified, CPR Pro Certified and First Aid Certified.

Library Assistant
Assist with a wide variety of tasks in the library circulation, shelving and technical service area.

Desk Clerk
Desk clerk duties consist of overseeing the operation of the front desk including greeting and registering guests; issuing room keys and laundry tokens; collecting room fees and making deposits; and other duties as assigned. This position requires responsibility, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail. An interview and mandatory training session is required.

Office Support
Perform various clerical tasks as required including answering phones, opening mail, photocopying, filing, mailings, data entry, and other duties as assigned.

Custodian
Responsible for emptying trash and recycling, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping areas, and other basic cleaning tasks.

Grounds
Assist Lawrence grounds crew personnel with cutting grass, trimming bushes, grounds cleanup, and other basic grounds keeping tasks.

Painter
Perform various duties such as scraping, painting, varnishing, plaster work and drywall patching.

Maintenance
Serve as a helper to trades personnel, plumbers, carpenters, HVAC and electricians. Perform general labor type duties.

Materials Handling
Responsible for moving campus furniture, set up and tear down of events, delivery of supplies and driving Lawrence vehicles to maintenance garage.  Must have a valid driver’s license, be a registered Lawrence driver and be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Microcomputer Assistant
Assist staff with cleaning, moving, installing and upgrading computing equipment, including computers, printers and projectors.

Alumni Development Intern
Applicant needs excellent writing skills, commitment to collaboration, evidence of leadership positions, a strong work ethic, and a career interest in technology communications,
Development or Alumni Relations.

Communications Assistant
Preparing electronic images, files and posting them online. Creation
of online photo library. Organizing electronic and paper files and burning CD's.
Miscellaneous administrative work.

Communications Print Shop Assistant
Assist with finishing and delivery of printed materials. Organization of
print shop and mail services area.
