Hiring students

Student jobs are now entered into Voyager allowing a more efficient way of getting jobs entered into Banner. Follow the instructions below.

Instructions:
1.    Log onto Voyager and select “General Information About Students”.
2.    Select “Submit Student Hire Information”.
3.    Input student hire information (job position, department financial org. number, timesheet approver, etc).
4.    Once this has been entered, select “Input Student Hire Information” button.
5.    Enter the Lawrence ID numbers for all students hired for the job position selected in previous screen and hourly rate for each employee being hired.
6.    Select “Submit Student(s)” button.
7.    Once you have submitted this information, the students you have submitted are available for you to review – if you have entered a student by mistake, you have the option to delete the student on this screen, or add more IDs. 
8.    If the information is correct and you have no additional students to add, log out. 
9.    If you will be hiring additional students for a different job position within your department select “Enter New Position Information”.
