POSITION DESCRIPTION
Program Evaluation Assistant
(20 hours/week, 10-months)
Reports to: Bill Skinner, Director of Research Administration and Project Program Evaluator
Location: Mursell House
ESSENTIAL JOB
RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Assist the Program Evaluator in the evaluation of a 3-year federally-funded project to develop, implement, and evaluate a campus-wide suicide prevention program at Lawrence University.
2. Collect and analyze evaluation data based on surveys (both paper and web-based), focus groups, discussions occurring during meetings of key project committees, and other methods
3. Collaborate with the Project Evaluator in writing evaluation and other project reports
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Strong quantitative, analytical, research, and statistical skills
2. Expertise
in working with databases and statistical software, including SPSS and
Microsoft Excel
3. Excellent
writing and communication skills
4. Very
proficient at taking and summarizing minutes at meetings
5. Ability
to work independently as well as with a team
6. Must
be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in social science, education research/assessment, health sciences, or related disciplines required, master’s degree preferred
2. Familiar with working at a liberal arts institution
