SUBJECT: HEALTHCARE RENEWAL
The HealthCare Advisory
Committee has been discussing current and future plans for Lawrence
University’s healthcare plan for several months. We have received a lot of feedback about the
current vendor and plan. Based on the
feedback and coupled with an extensive review of options, a new health plan
vendor has been selected to administer Lawrence University’s health plan.
This vendor is Fiserv Health
formerly known as Wausau Benefits. As
you may guess, Fiserv Health is located in Wausau, WI. In addition, we have partnered with a care
coordination and patient advocacy firm called Coordinated Health Care located
in Columbus, Ohio. During our journey in
selecting the right partner to administer Lawrence University’s health plan, we
have received extremely good reviews on both organizations. We feel this partnership will allow us to
enhance the customer service and benefits provided by Lawrence University. The change to this program will occur on July
1, 2007.
We strongly recommend that
you attend one of the meetings listed below, so you can gain firsthand
knowledge on how the new program will work (spouses are welcome). Sign-up is NOT required. The meetings will be located in the Barber
Room at Jason Downer Commons as follows:
