M. Crawford Young


M. Crawford Young has been a professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison since 1963 and a Professor Emeritus since 2001. He has held visiting professor posts in several African countries including Uganda, Zaire and Senegal. He has written several books and dozens of articles on a variety of issues facing the African continent. He was awarded a Ford Fellowship in 1972, a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1977, was a Woodrow Wilson International Center Fellow in 1983-84, and a Fulbright lecturer at the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal in 1987-88.
