Dr. Lane is a biogeographer and paleolimnologist who is interested in the origins, impacts, and patterns of environmental change. Dr. Lane is particularly interested in evidence of environmental change and prehistoric human-environment interactions preserved in lake sediments deposited during the Late Quaternary, sticking to the adage that "the past is the key to the present and the future." Dr. Lane currently teaches courses in Introductory Geology, Environmental Science, Paleoenvironmental Proxies, and Prehistoric Human-Environment Interactions.
