This lecture on Einstein's Relativity, delivered at Lawrence University on November 7, 2007, was designed for students and faculty in the college's Freshman Studies program. Freshman Studies, a multidisciplinary introduction to the liberal arts, has been the cornerstone of the Lawrence curriculum for over fifty years. The lecturer, David Cook, is Professor of Physics and Philetus E. Sawyer Professor of Science at Lawrence. Professor Cook holds the Ph.D. from Harvard University. His interests include mathematical physics, computational physics, chaos, physics of musical instruments, and pedagogic applications of computers.
