Delivered by Prof. Carla Daughtry

This lecture on Lila Abu-Lughod's Veiled Sentiments, delivered at Lawrence University on November 1, 2004 was designed for students and faculty in the college's Freshman Studies program. Freshman Studies, a multidisciplinary introduction to the liberal arts, has been the cornerstone of the Lawrence curriculum for over fifty years. The lecturer, Carla Daughtry, is Instructor of Anthropology at Lawrence. Dr. Daughtry holds the Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and teaches courses in cultural anthropology, gender studies, and ethnic studies.
