Delivered by Prof. Anthony Padilla

This lecture on Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, delivered at Lawrence University on December 1, 2003, was designed for students and faculty in the college's Freshman Studies program. Freshman Studies, a multidisciplinary introduction to the liberal arts, has been the cornerstone of the Lawrence curriculum for over fifty years. The lecturer, Anthony Padilla, is Associate Professor of Music at Lawrence. Professor Padilla holds the B.Mus. from Northern Illinois University, the M.M. and Performer's Certificate from Eastman School of Music, and the Artist's Diploma from the University of Washington. He is a highly regarded concert pianist.
