Student Parking - East Ramp Permit Information
Lawrence University students may purchase a permit allowing them to park at the city of Appleton's East Ramp, located at the corner of Morrison and Washington streets (east of the Valley Transit
bus station). An East Ramp permit costs $50 per term and allows one (1) entry per day.
You may buy the permit from the LU cashier, 2nd floor Brokaw Hall, during normal business hours. You will need to provide your vehicle license plate number when purchasing the permit.
Please review the following guidelines related to parking at the ramp:
- A Lawrence University parking sticker must be affixed to the lower right rear window area of your vehicle in order to be authorized to park overnight at the ramp. Vehicles without a Lawrence
University parking sticker may be issued a citation. To purchase a parking sticker, register your vehicle with Physical Plant during
normal business hours.
- Parking is permitted on the fourth level and higher of the East Ramp. (You will be issued a $10 ticket by the city for each time you park on the lower levels of the ramp.)
- You could be issued a citation if your vehicle has an unauthorized plate number. If your license plate number changes, please advise the cashier as soon as possible.
- Permits are valid only for the East Ramp, even though Avenue Ramp is printed on the permit/card. (This is due to the system that the city of Appleton is using for LU participants in this
program.)
- Refunds will not be issued for unused portions of permits.
- Permits must be renewed each term. If not renewed, the city parking permit will be turned off, denying you East Ramp access, soon after the parking lottery occurs.
- At the end of the year (or the term if you are not renewing your permit), the permit/card must be returned to the cashier in Brokaw Hall. (You may send it through interoffice mail if you
wish.)

Replacement charge for lost/stolen permits/cards is $3. Purchase your replacement card at Appleton City Hall, 5th floor, 100 N. Appleton St., between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (note that the city office is

Please notify the (Lawrence) cashier if your card is lost. Remember to report your new replacement card number to the cashier also.
