You will be considered for all academic, music and More Light! scholarships without regard to financial need (although these scholarships do become an integral part of your financial aid package if you qualify for need-based aid).
Lawrence scholarships are determined during the admission process. To be considered for Lawrence University scholarships, you must submit your completed Common Application and Lawrence Supplement by the appropriate application deadline. In most cases, if you receive one or more Lawrence University scholarships, you will be notified at the time of admission (making that "good news" envelope just that much better).
Lawrence scholarships are renewable for four years for B.A. or B.Mus. students, and renewable for five years for double-degree students. Please see "Renewal of Lawrence Scholarships" in the Terms & Conditions for more information.
Outside Scholarships
Outside scholarships will reduce your family's out-of-pocket expense to attend Lawrence (i.e. what you pay). Only in rare cases will an outside scholarship or scholarships reduce your Lawrence Grant (your total financial aid cannot exceed the Cost of Attendance).
