ANNOUNCEMENT OF FULL-TIME ADJUNCT POSITION

IN BASSOON

STARTING IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2012-13

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:                       Studio teaching of bassoon and related activities including chamber music coaching and recital preparation.  Since teaching the bassoon studio comprises approximately half of a full-time load, the successful candidate will also be expected to teach in other areas depending on one’s expertise.  Music theory, history, entrepreneurship in the arts, and instrumental pedagogy are possibilities as are courses outside of the Conservatory like our signature Freshman Studies sequence. Additional responsibilities include active recruiting for the bassoon studio.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                         Outstanding teacher, performer, and scholar.  Masters degree required.  Although this is a Conservatory position, strong support of the ideals and goals of a broad liberal arts education is essential. 

 

RANK AND SALARY:                    Full-time adjunct.  Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
