POSITION Teacher of piano at the Lawrence Academy of Music
DUTIES Studio instruction of pre-college piano students, including private and group piano lessons. Guaranteed teaching load of 25 hours per week which may include a group piano program for beginning level students. Some teaching during the summer session expected, paid at an hourly rate. Additional responsibilities at the Conservatory of Music in class piano available to qualified applicants.
SALARY Nine-month salary and full benefits guaranteed.
QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in music preferred with demonstrated piano
performance skills; training in piano pedagogy; teaching
experience with a variety of ages and levels in both individual
and group settings; evidence of superior teaching, including
expertise in teaching young children.
ACADEMY OF MUSIC Founded in 1874, the Academy is a certified member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts. It is a division of the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, WI, and enrolls more than 1,900 students from throughout northeastern Wisconsin and upper Michigan.
