CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC
ANNOUNCEMENT OF A TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION
IN MUSIC HISTORY – DECEMBER, 2009

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:                         Teach music history survey and upper-level music history courses as appropriate to candidate’s areas of expertise. Teach tutorial and independent studies courses as the need arises. Additional responsibilities include continuing professional scholarly development, student advising, admissions-related responsibilities, and participation in committee assignments.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                           Demonstrated excellence in the classroom. Record of, or potential for, significant on-going scholarly achievement in musicology. Early music scholars are especially encouraged to apply. Ph.D. must be in hand when position begins. Strong support of the ideals and goals of a broad liberal arts education is highly desirable.

 

RANK AND SALARY:                      Assistant Professor. 
Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience.
