CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC
ANNOUNCEMENT OF A FACULTY POSITION
IN MUSIC HISTORY – SEPTEMBER, 2008
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach music history survey and upper-level music history courses as appropriate to candidate’s areas of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated excellence in the classroom. Record of, or potential for, significant scholarly achievement in musicology. Early music scholars are especially encouraged to apply. PhD or ABD.
RANK AND SALARY: Instructor. Two-year, full-time, non-tenure-track appointment, with the possibility of renewal based on performance. Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience.

CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC: Serving approximately 350 music majors, the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, founded in 1874, is a distinguished undergraduate program offering preparation for professional careers in music within the intellectual environment of a liberal arts college. Majors within the Bachelor of Music degree include performance, music education, and theory/composition.
