The Viking Room

The Viking Room Pub is located in the lower level of the Memorial Union. It serves alcoholic drinks, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Students (ages 21 and over) staff, faculty, and visitors all frequent the Viking Room and enjoy the rustic ambiance of the wooden booths and dimmed lighting. Performances by contract entertainers and various drink specials make the Viking Room an attractive options for people desiring good company and relaxation.

Hours Of Operation

The Viking Room is open for business only when classes are in session and for Graduation Weekend and Reunion Weekend.

Monday - Thursday: 9 pm - 2 am
Friday & Saturday: 9 pm - 2:30 am

Happy Hour: Wednesday & Friday: 4:30 pm to 9 pm

Age Requirements

Because the Viking Room offers alcoholic beverages, state law requires those who enter be 21 years of age or older. Proper picture identification is required for entrance to include: valid driver's license, state identification card, passport, or military service card.

Performances

Performances and theme nights are regularly scheduled in the Viking Room and are popular attractions for patrons. If you are interested in more information about up-coming performances, or if you would like more information about performance scheduling, contact the Dean of Student Affairs Office at (920) 832-6600.

Room Reservations

Reservations of the Viking Room are welcome for all groups interested. Groups may request closed doors outside of regular business hours during meeting times. If you would like to make a reservation, please contact the Dean of Student Affairs Office at (920) 832-6600. Special provisions must be made for both alcoholic and nonalcoholic events. Food provided at events must be set up through the Union Retail Operations Office at (920) 832-6988.
