- Fill out a job application (PDF), specifying your class schedule
- Return your application to Administrative Student Supervisor at Downer Commons or Student Supervisors at Union Retail Operations
- Present your student employment card for verification by supervisor
- Sign up for shifts and complete any paperwork needed for the work area

Book Bonus:
Earn up to $150 a year towards your textbooks at Conkey's!
$50 book certificate at Conkey's Bookstore is given at the end of each term to student employees who:
- work a minimum of 10 hours per week in Residence Hall Dining Services and/or Catering
- work all eleven weeks of the term
- have no unexcused absences
- have no unexcused lates
Certificates are presented at the beginning of the next term. Can only be used for textbooks.
General job descriptions:
- Dishroom: work with a team of people to clean dishes and utensils for our customers and production areas of the kitchen
- Food Runner: help supply the serving lines with fresh pans of food and keep production staff informed with needs from the serving lines
- Dining Room Attendant: refill salad bars and dessert stations, and wash tables
- Tray Clear/Return: send trays to dishroom during meal times and wash tables
- Cook's Helper or Bakery Helper: assist in food preparation, grilling and baking
- Van Driver: Make deliveries and pick up food and equipment across campus; requires valid Wisconsin driver's license and "clean" driving record
- Catering Waiter/Waitress: serve, set up and clean up for special events on campus and occasionally off campus
- Grill Workers: work at Union Grill to cook, run the cash register and clean up
- Union Station C-Store Attendants: run the store by taking care of customers, stocking and reordering supplies
- Underground Coffeehouse Attendants: prepare beverages and serve customers
- Student Supervisors: perform the duties of a student personnel manager at each dining service location on campus.
Which includes; hiring, scheduling, student evaluations, etc.
- Floor supervision of student employees during work shifts
Summer jobs:
There are a limited number of jobs open during summer conference season. Students are employed to help cater at special events for summer conference guests or off
campus groups. If you are planning to stay in Appleton for the summer and wish to work on campus, contact Financial Aid in early April for application and guidelines.
