Reasons to give to The Lawrence Fund
Through gifts to The Lawrence Fund, supporters provide essential help with funds that can be spent immediately on the college’s most important priorities:
- Provide financial assistance to students. More than 90 percent of Lawrence students receive need-based and/or merit-based scholarships each year.
- Allow Lawrence to offer a Hidden Grant to each student. Tuition only covers about 65 percent of the full cost of a Lawrence education. Donations to The Lawrence Fund help make up the difference between what the students pay and what their education actually costs.
- Support student-centered education. Students experience individual learning opportunities such as internships, international study programs, cooperative education, and independent research.
- Keep Lawrence on the cutting edge of education and technology. The extra boost that contributions provide allow Lawrence to keep up with state-of-the-art technology, teaching standards, and quality education that prepares students for today and tomorrow.
