Audition requirements for admission to the Trumpet Studio include: two or three works or movements of works (selected from the Haydn, Hummel, or Arutunian Concertos, Arban - Characteristic Studies 1-12, or the Charlier 36 Etudes Transcendental), scales (major and chromatic); and sightreading. Auditioning students prepare works of their choice representing contrasts in style for the audition. Auditions on campus take the form of a private lesson and are approximately 45 minutes in length. Off-campus auditions are held at a number of sites throughout the United States.
