2006 Jacob Teichroew is a national finalist in the North American Saxophone Alliance Jazz Improvisation Competition

2006  Sara Kind, LU’05 is awarded 3rd Prize in the North American  Saxophone Alliance Classical Saxophone Performance Competition.  Sara also is awarded 2nd place in the Arizona Records Saxophone Recording Competition and 2nd Prize in the MTNA Regional Collegiate Young Artist Competition

2006  The Lawrence University Saxophone Quartet is awarded 2nd Prize in the MTNA Regional Collegiate Chamber Music Competition

2006 Allison Davis, Mark Determan, Chris Clouthier, Sara Kind, Jesse Dochnahl, and Kim Reece are selected to perform on the annual LU Commencement Concert

2006 Allen Cordingley, LU’02 is appointed professor of saxophone at  the University of Wisconsin – Platteville

2006  Alumni and current students present the world premiere of “We  Fall…We Rise” for saxophone ensemble by LU alumnus Javier Arau.

2005: Studio member Ben Doherty (tenor 2), and Studio alumni Scott VanDomelen (tenor 1) and Allen Cordingley (alto 2) are members of the saxophone section of the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

2005: Sara Kind wins the Concord Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and performs Villa-Lobos' "Fantasia" in concert with the Concord Chamber Orchestra in the spring of 2006.

2005: Kim Reece is selected as a winner of the Lawrence University Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition.

2005: Jesse Dochnahl wins the Lawrence University Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.

2005: The Lawrence University Saxophone Ensemble performs for the Jean-Marie Londeix Master Class in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Eighteen alumni of the saxophone studio, including four alumni saxophone quartets, return to perform with current saxophone students in the Saxophone Studio and Alumni Recital.

1999: Professor Steven Jordheim performs Song Book for alto saxophone and marimba with Josh Ryan at the NASA Region 5 Conference in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Lawrence University Saxophone Quartet performed two works by Henry Purcell as arranged by Jon Meyer at the same conference.

1999: Saxophonists Jean-Marie Londeix and William Street visit Lawrence University to present a masterclass, lecture, and recital.

1998: Paul Snyder, a member of the Lawrence saxophone studio, has his interview with composer Rodney Rogers published in The Saxophone Symposium.

1998: The saxophone studio hosts composer David Maslanka and the Transcontinental Saxophone Quartet for a concert of world premiere performances: Song Book for alto saxophone and marimba (composed for and performed by Steven Jordheim and Dane Richeson); and Mountain Roads for saxophone quartet (composed for and performed by the Transcontinental Saxophone Quartet); Yiannis Miralis (LU '94) performs as baritone saxophonist with the Transcontinental Saxophone Quartet.

1998: Students of the Lawrence University Conservatory perform Two Views for saxophone ensemble, percussion, piano, and double bass by Rodney Rogers at the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference, Evanston, Illinois.

1996-97: The saxophone studio commissions and premieres Two Views for saxophone ensemble, percussion, piano and double bass by Rodney Rogers.

1997: The saxophone studio presents a concert celebrating the history of the saxophone.
