Lawrence University will support the use of windows and Macintosh systems on campus.
We are primarily users of Window computers but will continue to provide the opportunity for faculty to use Macintosh systems if that is what they prefer.
For students, we will continue to provide access to Macintosh systems in student labs. Information Technology Services will investigate the types of systems students are bringing to campus to determine the Window to Mac ratio and will strive to maintain a similar ratio in student labs.
Use of Macintosh systems by staff is very limited and, at this time, restricted to Office of Communications. Macintosh systems tend to cost more and have more difficulty running our more common administrative applications.
